Our concerts
For the 2023-2024 season, l'Estro Armonico remains true to its motto of bringing culture and classical music to the whole country. It is delighted to accompany choral groups from the country and the wider region in their concerts. Working with young and very young musicians is becoming an increasingly important part of its activities (prize-winner concerts, creation of a work by Yan Windeshausen). Although classical music has pride of place, with this season's flagship concert being a performance of Joseph Haydn's 'Schöpfung' conducted by the eminent conductor Pierre Cao and featuring the Ensemble Vocal du Luxembourg and the 'Ambitus' ensemble, the Estro Armonico is also the orchestra of choice for exploring the wealth of the vast musical repertoire. Indeed, the periods represented this season range from the Baroque (Handel, Vivaldi) to contemporary music (Palmieri's Misatango, Jenkins, Musicals), via Classical (Haydn, Mozart father and son) and Romantic music (Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Saint-Saëns).
