Singende, klingende Basilika

In this season of Advent, the basilica will be celebrating. The two choirs from Junglinster and Echternach will join forces to sing the melodious Gloria by Vivaldi and sound the trumpets in Johann Sebastian Bach's famous ‘Jauchzet, frohlocket’. The hope that Christmas brings is magnified in Telemann's ‘Deutsches Magnificat‘. As for the shepherds, poor lonely fellows, the choirs and orchestra will celebrate them in Michael Haydn's splendid ‘Lauft, lauft, ihr Hirten allzugleich’.
